2013 14th Annual Reagan Run 5K Race Facts

  • Race distance: 5 Kilometers, (3.1 Miles.) View the Race Course Map.
  • Walkers are welcomed and encouraged. For safety reasons, walkers will line up behind the runners. Official times will be available for entrants finishing within 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Please - No strollers and No pets in the 5K Race.
  • Start time: Saturday, July 6, 2013, 8:00AM Central Time (CT).
  • Start location: Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, 810 S Hennepin AV, Dixon, IL,
    one block west of IL Rt. 26 (Galena AV). NOTE – No race day registration here.
  • Finish location: Haymarket Square, 255 Highland AV, Dixon, IL, between West 2nd ST and West 3rd ST. NOTE – Race day registration is here, not at the Start location.
  • Your participation benefits the Dixon Athletic Boosters, Dixon Main Street, Dixon Park District and Dixon YMCA Strong Kids.
  • You can print, fill out, and mail the 2013 Race Brochure and Entry Form.
  • You can also Register On-Line through Friday, July 5, 2013. Register early on-line by June 15th to receive a $10 discount, or by July 5th to receive a $5 discount.
  • Early race packet pickup on Friday, July 5, 2013, 11:00AM to 5:00PM CT at
    Dixon YMCA, 110 N Galena Ave, Dixon, IL, phone: 815-288-9622.
  • Race Day Registration allowed on Saturday, July 6, 2013, from 6:30AM till 7:30AM CT at the Finish location, Haymarket Square, 255 Highland AV, Dixon, IL, between West 2nd ST and West 3rd ST. NOTE – No race day registration at the Start location, Reagan Home.
  • 5K Awards: Unique award to first overall male and female. First three places, each division, male and female. Awards presented after race. Overall winners do not receive age group awards.
  • Race Features: Bib tag timing; Timing splits at mile one & two; Water stations; Traffic control; Medical team on hand; Massage Therapists on site; Finish line staffed & supervised by experienced workers; Wheelchair turnaround @1.2 mile marker; Middle mile of course on wood chips over varying terrain; Refreshments after the race.

  • A FREE fun & safe event for kids ages 9 and under. Kids will run 6/10ths of a mile.
  • Start time: Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 7:30AM CT, sharp.
  • Start location: Corner of S Hennepin AV and W 8th ST.
  • Finish location: Haymarket Square, 255 Highland AV
  • Check-in & race day registration will end at 7:15AM CT. Sorry - no exceptions.
  • Pre-registration is encouraged using the Race Brochure or Register On-Line.
  • The first 100 registrants receive a FREE T-shirt!
    (Sizes are first come-first served. Must participate to receive shirt.)
  • All finishers will receive a special kids goodie bag, a medal, and refreshments!

  • Sponsored by KSB Corporate Health Services.
  • Run in conjunction with the Reagan Run.
  • Raynor is the defending champion.
  • Registration deadline: July 5, 2013. No Corporate Race Day Registration.
  • If you are running for your company, use the Race Brochure, fill in the Corporate Challenge circle, and write in your company's name.
  • You must be a current employee of the company.
  • Each company must have a minimum of 5 runners per team - no maximum.
  • The place of the top 5 runners are added together for the team total. The team with the lowest score is the winner.
  • Plaque for first place team and bragging rights for one year.
  • Companies may enter more than one team.
  • Running clubs are not included in the Corporate Challenge.
